Congratulations to Jerry for being our MVP of the week. We enjoyed learning more about our special classmate when he shared his banner with us on Friday.
Students enjoyed blasts from the past at our Friday assembly! We welcomed returning teachers, students and friends of CCE! Coach Tighe treated us to the announcements 1998 style! Here’s to 20 more…
Red Ribbon Week was a huge success! We focused this week on making healthy choices for ourselves. We “REFLECTed” on what that looked like to us. We had fun with Crazy Socks, Crazy Hair, and team jerseys!
Thank you PTA for providing lunch for the CCE staff on Friday. It sure was delicious, and we truly appreciate your hospitality.
The required library reading log, "Saddle Up and Read" is due on Friday, November 3rd. Congratulations to those who have already completed the program.
This first half of third grade is zooming by! This week promises to keep the busy feeling going with not only all the amazing things we are learning everyday in the classroom, but also we have the excitement of Halloween thrown in there as well. I hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween night and aren’t too tired on Wednesday.
Gratefully,
Joni Biggers

TAG Referral Parent Information Night
Canyon Creek will be hosting TAG Referral Information Night for families interested in referring their students for TAG testing. This night is designed for families whose students are not currently enrolled in the TAG program but are interested in testing. Please join us in the library on November 8th from 6:00-7:00pm for more information about how to complete the referral process.
WEEKLY HOMEWORK:
Planners are completed daily. Please check and initial your child’s planner nightly. These students still require support from home.
Students are required to read for a minimum of 20 minutes per night and record a quick response on their reading logs. Logs are DUE every Wednesday. Book Bucks are earned with every 100 minutes read. Students can “purchase” books from our “Book Buck Library” with 10 book bucks.
Nightly reading is crucial to your child's overall reading success. Reading should be an interactive process, so please remember to initial your child's log before turning it in on Wednesday.
Each Friday students will receive spelling lists and worksheets. Practice spelling the words correctly and complete the homework worksheets as they are due each Thursday. Spelling Tests will be administered on Fridays.
