THANK YOU! Thanks to all of the parents that sent in ingredients for our “Bat Food” mixture! The students were very creative in using uncommon and common materials to separate the pretzels, popcorn, craisins, raisins and mini-chocolate chips! Not to mention, we enjoyed a terrific pre-Halloween snack!
RED RIBBON WEEK: Our week was a success. Thank you for helping your children with the daily clothing requirements. We had lots of fun parading in our crazy hats and pajamas!
REPORT CARDS: Your children’s report cards will go home in their Tuesday folders. The grades your child has earned is only a snapshot. This is the first time they will receive numerical grades. We celebrate each one of them, and hope you do too!
DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME: Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend, which means we will go back to Standard Time at 2 a.m. on Sunday. Make sure you set your clocks back one hour. Enjoy your extra hour!
CHARACTER TRAIT FOR NOVEMBER: Our character word for November is GENEROSITY!! CHARACTER COUNTS AT CANYON CREEK!!
LEARNING TOPICS FOR THIS WEEK:

Science: Students will continue to investigate simple mixtures and ways to separate them.
Social Studies: We will wrap up our study of rural, suburban and urban communities. Next week we will take a look at reading a map as well.
