I hope you all are having a wonderful and restful Spring Break with family! I look forward to hearing about everyone’s Spring Break on Monday.
Thank you to Elissa Allen and Rebeca Otteson for being our chaperones for our Field Trip to the Blanton Museum. We enjoyed our visit, and were able to experience a broad range of artistic expression and history.
WALK ACROSS TEXAS STAFF VS STUDENT CHALLENGE:
Make sure your child is logging his/her exercise in the evenings on the blue calendar. We tally our miles on Monday mornings. Remember, 1 hour of your child playing/walking/running outside of school time is equal to 3 miles. Please send in the blue calendar on Monday, March 21st after spring break. We will send it back home Monday afternoon.
MULTICULTUARL FAIR:
It's that time of year! MCF activities will start on Monday when we get back from Spring Break. Optional activities include:
Tuesday, March 22 - Bring in a photo of your ancestors, grandparents or relatives to share your ancestry. Photos will be returned at the end of the week.
Wednesday, March 23 - Share an interesting experience of another country you have lived in or visited.
Thursday, March 24 - Wear something representing your culture or a culture you love. Or wear a shirt from another country you have visited/lived.
The Multicultural Fair starts Thursday March 24 at 5:30 pm. Performances start at 6:00 pm. I look forward to seeing you all there.
FAMILY FUN FEST BASKET: Each grade level will be providing a themed basket for our upcoming festival (Sat. April 2nd). Third grade has “Family Fun Night” theme. Anything that would be fun to do with your family for a fun night together: snacks, DVD’s, movie tickets, board or card games, gift cards, etc.
We will accept ANY donations between now and Friday April 1st. The teachers will get a large container to accommodate this. The grade level whose basket is auctioned off for the most money gets a pizza party. Thank you to those families who have already donated!
